Who Is Behind Korea Compass?
Korea Compass was founded and is edited by Michael Han, a Korea-based international healthcare professional with more than 15 years of experience supporting foreign patients and working with Korean medical providers.
His professional experience includes international patient support, healthcare provider relations, medical claims and authorization processes, and coordination between foreign patients, insurers and hospitals in Korea.
That experience has shown us that the most difficult part of receiving care abroad is often not the medical treatment itself. Patients may struggle to understand where to go, what documents to prepare, whether payment is required upfront, how prescriptions work, or what kind of support is needed during a hospital stay.
Korea Compass was created to make those situations easier to understand.
