Information You Share With Us
If you email us, we receive your email address, the name you provide and the contents of your message. We use this information to respond to questions, review corrections and handle inquiries. Please send only the information needed for your inquiry. Do not post medical records, passport details, insurance numbers or other sensitive personal information in public comments.
Comments and Profile Images
Where comments are enabled, WordPress collects the information entered in the comment form, including your name, email address, optional website address and comment. It also records your IP address and browser user-agent information to help detect spam and abuse. Your approved comment, display name and any website link you provide may be visible publicly; your email address is not displayed as part of the public comment.
If you select the option to remember your details, cookies can save your name, email address and website in your browser for later comments. These comment cookies normally last for one year and can be deleted through your browser settings.
The site displays avatars using Gravatar where available. A hash derived from your email address may be sent to Gravatar to check for a profile image. Loading an avatar also connects your browser to that service. See Automattic’s Privacy Policy for details.

We use Google Analytics through Site Kit to understand which guides people read and how they find and use the website. Depending on your browser settings and applicable consent choices, Google Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers and process information such as page views, interactions, referring pages, device and browser details, and approximate location. Advertising and Google AdSense
Korea Compass is preparing to use Google AdSense. The following explains how advertising data may be used when Google ads are enabled on the website.
Third-party advertising providers, including Google, may use cookies to select ads based on previous visits to this website or other websites. Google’s advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to personalize ads using browsing activity across participating sites, subject to applicable settings and consent requirements. Advertising providers may also process identifiers and interaction data to deliver ads, measure performance and prevent fraud.
You can manage or turn off personalized Google advertising through My Ad Center. Turning off personalization does not necessarily remove advertisements or all cookies used for advertising functions.
Cookies, Security and Embedded Content
WordPress uses cookies for functions such as administrator login and saved preferences. Our hosting and security tools may process IP addresses, requested pages, timestamps and browser information to deliver the site, investigate errors and protect it against unauthorized access and abuse.

How Long Information Is Kept
Comments and associated metadata may remain for the life of the discussion unless removed. Inquiry correspondence is kept as needed to handle the inquiry and related follow-up. Security logs, analytics records and backups follow the retention settings and operational requirements of the relevant systems. Some information may need to be retained for legal obligations or the prevention of abuse.
Your Choices and Privacy Requests
You may contact us to request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information we hold about you. Depending on the law that applies, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy of your data, withdraw consent or complain to a relevant data protection authority. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and legal or security requirements may limit deletion.
